I agree. If I want to save money on groceries and get what I need, I will go go Harris Teeter, Publix, and Walmart. If I want to pay more for overpriced groceries, I will go to Food Lion.

I try to avoid the Waltons and their tax dodging, low wage paying, price bullying, mom & pop local hardware store crushing, ways n means of doing business.

I also shop 50% of the time at Teeter on Kerr Ave, the other 50% at Food Lion on Kerr Ave. Also Food Lion in CB when I'm living on the island. Which local Wilmington area stores do you shop in regularly? maybe I'm missing something...

The Town of Carolina Beach's Planning and Zoning Commission will discuss a conditional use permit for the redevelopment of Federal Point Shopping Center at its Thursday, 14 December 2017, meeting.

Reading the agenda, the redeveloped Federal Point Shopping Center would be anchored by a 51,469-square-foot grocery store with a pharmacy drive thru.

Jubilee Carolina LLC, the owner of the adjacent site where supermarket Harris Teeter has delayed plans to open a store, is challenging the conditional use permit for the redevelopment of Federal Point Shopping Center.

In May, a judge sided with the Town of Carolina Beach in issuing a conditional use permit for the redevelopment of Federal Point Shopping Center. In June, a developer for Harris Teeter appealed.

Bids for the construction of Publix #1677, Publix Commons at Federal Point, are due Monday, 10 September. Publix is officially coming to Federal Point Shopping Center. Federal Point Shopping Center will now be Publix Commons at Federal Point.
