My wife and I are looking at purchasing a single-family home in Oak Island outside of the flood zones.

Who do you guys like in the area for homeowner's insurance? TIA!

We use Carr Insurance in Southport. But unless you can obtain insurance through the "standard market", you will be placed in the Coastal Property Insurance Pool, and the price will be the same regardless of the insurance broker. You can check around, but I doubt you can get in the standard market on OKI.
