Does anyone know if there are tax exemptions for seniors in Winnabow, NC and what is the income level you have to be under in order to get it?

If you mean property tax exemptions, there are no local programs. However, the state of NC does have a program that excludes half of the property's tax value (essentially cutting taxes in half) for those who are 65 and older and have an income of $29,500 per year or less.

Winnabow is not an incorporated town, so it does not have its own tax rate, only the Brunswick County tax rate, which is very low ($500 per year per $100,000 in assessed value). Have you checked to see what the taxes are on the property?

Thanks for the info. I don't live there yet, but considering the area. Is there a link online to that information?
