I will be coming down in October to purchase a lot for my future retirement home in Brunswick Forest. I plan on building next May timeframe. Does anyone know how much HOAs are when the property is not developed with a house? I know it is lower but I'm curious. Is it prorated?
Also, does anyone have any information on the HOAs in the different neighborhoods of BF? I live in Northern Virginia so my HOA is really not a comparison at a cost of $227/month. Anything lower is money back in my pocket.
I haven't been able to find HOA information on any of the BF boards, so I'm asking the question. Cheers!
We looked at land or lots in most the "plantations" in Brunswick County and the HOA fees were the same for land owners and home owners. You might want to explore the difference between the HOA fees and social or amenity fees.
Fees depend on your neighborhood and type of home. I have a home in Parkway Crossing and pay $2560 per year (billed quarterly). Our fees include maintenance on the property (lawn mowing, pruning shrubs, etc.)
Thank you Nlatimer. That's the neighborhood I'm looking to buy and build in. I will be down in October. Hope there will be some lots still left in that neighborhood. Thanks for the tips.
