My son is going to Greenville to take a temporary job. His lodgings are being provided for, but I'd like to know what parts of the city he should avoid. He's in his mid-20's and likes to go out at night (bars, restaurants, etc.). I would be so appreciative if someone could give me some specifics. TIA!

The safest areas in town are in the southern/southeastern side of town or in Winterville. The areas with the most crime seem to be in the Western side between uptown and the hospital.
