Here's a fun fact:
My brother used to live in Los Angeles, and being a BBQ lover, he called Wilbers one day to place an order and have it airfreighted to his home. He was told (rudely) that Wilbers "doesn't ship anything to anyone". He then hung up the phone, called Kings BBQ in Kinston, and they immediately processed his order via "Oink Express".
I don't know if King's is still in business or not, but I chuckle every time I think about that story.
BTW: The new bypass killed Wilbers business.

It's a done deal. Wilber's Barbecue has been sold to Goldpit Partners, LLC and is planned to reopen in spring 2020.
