My husband and I plan on retiring soon. I grew up in Va Beach and we had a cottage in the 1970's in the Tulls Bay, Moyock area that was on a canal. I do not remember the address. Can someone give me an idea on where to begin looking for a small (1100 to 1300 sq ft.) one story, small lot, home to purchase? What kind of prices are available? I am not having much luck with the realtor I have communicated with. We will be in the area next month and plan on looking extensively. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would need more information from you in order to be of much assistance.
Do you want to live at the beach, or would a small town with waterfront, waterview be ok? Do you want to pay for water access/view...much higher prices of course. If non water front o.k.?

1100 - 1200+/- Sq Ft can be found new for $130-150k+/-( not on water)
I have a new 1500 +/- Sq Ft home closing 5/29 for less than 150K

You can pm me if you want more info. about the area I live in...Thanks
