Have been trying to put together solid information on where the flood plains are in the New Bern area down through NewPort and to the water. Have seen varying opinions on concerns over Hurricane damage. Anyone who has specific facts or info on concerns about Hurricane and moreso flooding in these areas, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Where exactly are the flood plains? is there a resource or map of sorts to show this?

thanks in advance.

This link goes directly to the FEMA Map Service: Click Here
The site can be a little slow aand a little frustrating-But it is "The" source for flood info and maps.
You can buy maps for a nominal fee (Both downloadable and print) of specific areas on interest. I have almost all the flood maps on file and use them daily!
Another good site is the North Carolina Flood Mapping site: Click Here. It too is slow and can be frustrating-But invaluable info.
