My husband and I are considering moving from Arkansas to North Carolina. We have visited the Wilmington area several times and have fell in love. We are looking to move to town about 25-30 minutes away from Wilmington. We've looked into Rocky Point, NC and haven't found much information. Can anyone give us some insight on the local area for relocation.

The Rocky Point area has some small home developments and trailer parks. It has a nice country feel and still close enough to roads that get you into Wilmington quickly.

Rocky Point is still considered a very rural area. I don't think there is a whole lot there. Have you considered Hampstead?

I didn't consider Hampstead but thanks for the suggestion. I will look into it. When we first move we plan on possibly renting a home until we get grounded and then buy a house. What is the average monthly rental payment on a house there?

I'm guessing you could get a decent house for around $1200/month???

Also, I'm trying to talk my mother into moving with us to the area. She is a teacher. What is the job market like for a Pre K-6th grade teacher??
