Default Ocracoke Island Inn Accomodations

We would like to visit Ocracoke Island in August. What inn would you recommend that is on or close to the water? Also, any fun activities, sights to see and of course, best seafood restaurants that you would recommend. I have a feeling, with the weak American dollar, we'll all get to know the best places to go in the U.S.

How long do you plan to stay? The best deals can usually be found going to one of the real estate companies as they rent houses by the weekend or week. They sleep more people and you have a full kitchen etc... Some of the houses are very swank with lots of " extras " some are just cute little cottages. Some take pets. I think the people to call are called Ocracoke Island Realty. Ive been to The Anchorage Inn but usually we rent a house and stay a week. Lots of places to eat Jolly Roger is most economical but there are probably 20 places. They even have a place that sells Thai food. If money is an issue at all the prices usually go down in Sept.
