getting transfererred to newport nc...looked at houses online in the cape carteret area!!!any info would be nice

Default Living in newport

I have lived in this area for over 8 years. Newport is a nice community. Growing everyday. Cape Carteret is just over the bridge from the beach. That area is also nice. It is a small town but also growing everyday. Carteret County is a growing area. It is just getting expensive to live here. The schools are pretty good. ANy specefic questions let m eknow

You're in luck! The town of Newport is the lowest cost housing market in the entire county!
I do want to bring one thing to your attention as you scan properties online. "Newport" is a generic mailing address for a greater part of western Carteret County. Few towns and municipalitites have their own post office so the Newport post office acts as the mega-center. So when you see something listed as "Newport" it may in fact be many miles away from the actual town.
