Default Place to stay while visiting Shallotte

I will be in Shallotte in October. Can anyone recommend a clean place to stay for a few nights?

NJDave,
We usually stay at my In-Laws time share at Marsh Harbour in Calabash but when we go without them, we have stayed at Sunset Inn, not too far away.
It is a lovely B&B and the folks who run it are very nice!

The only "down" side is that you have to wait for the swing bridge to swing your way to get across to the island! It is never more than a 5 minute wait LOL.
Being there in Oct. means an off season rate, but I don't know what that will be. Here is the site:
The Sunset Inn - Sunset Beach vacation - Sunset Beach hotels

Have a ton of fun!

The best deal in the area is the Brunswick Plantation. I have stayed there several times. Check it out on the web
