We moved to the area last Summer. In Michigan we could cut down our Christmas tree and it would last longer. Is there Christmas tree farms around here in the area. We are in Camden . close to Elizabeth City. We have children and I was wondering what Christmas event in the area is worth going.

Wrong part of the state for Christmas tree farming. Most of the state's trees come from the Mountain Region counties of Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, Mitchell, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga and Yancey, where the climate is much better for that type of thing.

Yeah...you have a long drive to the mountains also. A lot of people from 1-95 west just drive to the mountains to get christmas trees. You could do that too, but man it would be a long drive for you.
