Anyone and everyone....

Here's the scoop: I moved to TX to raise my daughter around family and have a support system. And the question of the century is has it worked out that way? No. I'm also having a hard time adjusting to such a large city and I don't have a buddy here to help me with the transition or show me around, available services, etc. So, I'm thinking that a smaller city or a town would be better for both of us more importantly my daughter. I have been to Southport a few times and have loved it. What areas could you recommend that are safe and affordable in or around Southport. What is the job market like? childcare? school?

Thanks!!!!!
