The only jobs available are standing on a corner with a sign that reads: "Store Closing...50 percent off." Oh yea...the Liberty Tax Service will need someone to do the same thing in a few weeks.

Wow, I am surprised to hear there are no jobs in Raleigh, I didn't realize that area was suffering so badly. What is your profession, maybe we can help you relocate.

There are only jobs for highly skilled individuals, but even those are few and far between. Between that and minimum wage jobs there is really not much.

Any available for an experienced IT tech? Jack of all trades, Associates in Info. Systems and another in Programming. Must be family friendly as I am a single mom with 3 kids. Result of divorce, had to come back to this area for family support. Unfortunately there are no tech jobs.

However I am considering a career change, willing to return to college for additional education. If you know of a field that is in need, maybe you can provide some suggestions?

Thanks,

Melissa

Healthcare might be an option, go to a community college and get a CNA degree to become a nursing assistant. I think the classes are 6 weeks or so, work should be easy to find.

Tech jobs in that area are hard to find. You might try manpower or one of those places. UNCW hasn't had an opening in a while nor has the state.

You might want to try the New Hanover or Brunswick County School websites, or maybe the county websites.
