Hey everyone! I just moved to Jacksonville, NC from Florida earlier this week. I only know like two people here, one of them including my brother so that can't really count. Anyways, I'm just looking to see what there is to do around here and where good places are to make some new friends. I've been really bored these past couple of days. So if you know of any cool places or live in the area and want a new friend let me know! :] Thank you!! -- Angie

Get yourself a 4/3 wetsuit, gloves and boots and go surfing. That's really all there is to do around here.

There's not much in Jacksonville. You have to travel a good distance to do much of anything. You either have to go to Wilmington, Greenville, or Raleigh.

How old are you? What are you looking for? The "wants" of a 50yo compared to a 23yo usually differ greatly.

I just spent a half hour interviewing the Mayor of J'ville for a live radio program. One of the interesting (of many) points that came up is that the average age is just under 23 making J'ville the youngest city demographically in the US.
