I am looking at a few prospective homes close to Echo Farms Golf course, Eucalyptus Ln and Hibiscus Way. I would appreciate your opinions of this area.
Thanks.

I've been running through that neighborhood. When the wind blows the right way from those two streets, you can smell the sewage treatment plant to the west. It doesn't usually blow that way, though. Its a good general area, but I'd go a little farther south or east.

The retail right around there is sorta run-down, and a lot of that land isn't developed yet. In the next 5 to 20 years I'd expect major changes in that area; a giant development south down River Rd, a widening of Independence, and possibly a bridge over the Cape Fear extending Independence.

Thanks for your help. I looked on Goggle map and cannot find a sewage treatment plant near that location. Could it be the odor is from something else? I am now in Kingpsort TN and no one mentioned the foul chemical odors here. It ranges from a mild sweet smell to a "gag a horse" odor. So an occasional bad smell wouldn't be too bad to me.

No, I am 100% sure. If you are looking at Google Maps, find the northernmost tip of Hibiscus Way. Pan the map due west, and those 7 big circles on the river are the treatment facility.

You are so right! I goggled sewage treatment and nothing showed in the area but I found it listed as the McKean Maffitt Water Treament Plant after following your instructions. Thanks for the tip!
