Hello all. Considering on moving to Wilmington so I could use some friendly advice and tips. I'm a male in my early 30's, single and never been married with no children. I have a college degree and 1/2 way finished with a master's. I read on 1 of these threads about Wilmington and it seemed more negative than positive. Old money, retirement's, taxes and traffic. I understand the concept of old money holding a community back considering that I once lived Huntington W. Va. It was the same thing and now it has really taken a toll on that Community. Anyways, It has been yrs since I have visited but have done alot research on this region. I'm very active and enjoy many recreational activities. I enjoy the southern atmosphere and hospitality of the south. Love history. I have lived all over and now feel as if I should start planting my feet somewhere or at least try. I've owned my business in the restaurant/pub industry. I wouldn't mind working in the industry again until I figure out the area and surrounding area's. Like aforementioned, I understand the ol' politics and money mentality. Considering Charleston S.C. as well. Would that be a better fit? Any advice and tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.
