Hi,
I am thinking of living in Oriental but working in Morehead, is this a crazy idea? Will the ferry be an option that will work? If so what is your experience with the ferry? Thanks!
Cheryl

Not strange at all, lots of people do this. The Ferry seems to be very well run, always on time and during "rush hour" they usually add extra runs. A nice 15-20 min. of peace in the morning. Time to read paper or just chill. Good idea.
So did you guys end up buying off Straight Rd.?

Just be mindfull that if bad weather shuts the ferry down it is quite a drive around the land route. My wife and I like Oriental a whole lot. We just wish there was more shopping there or at least a real grocery store. Oriental reminds us a whole lot of a little place in MD called Galesville.
