Snow Hill is midway Greenville and Goldsboro, but when I checked the greatschools ratings, the schools are rated 2-5 out of 10.

I was going to say Snow Hill as well, but wasn't sure about the schools. You may have a better bet with areas outside of Winterville for schools. That would mean a longer commute for one person, however.

The area between Greenville and Goldsboro is COUNTRY. As country as it gets around here. It's not like you will ever find anything suitable on all of your points.

Snow Hill and be prepared for rednecks, hey, that's right next door to my old stompin grounds of Kinston. You may even look at Ktown as it is about 40 minutes from both of you jobs.

Schools are not great anywhere in NC country but they will give your young'n a good education in life.
