Greenville's Wal-Mart is the worst in the area, and no remodel has ever helped that fact. I guess it's due to the clientele (although I thought that was the same everywhere).
Washington's Wal-Mart is absolutely amazing... I will not shop in Wal-Marts period, but that one I'll actually go to if I'm in BoCo and need something.

It's really tough to watch the news around here. I'm used to WRAL and other bigger stations that have more funding. I think if WITN went HD it would help a lot with ratings.

The Cheesecake Factory eyed 1500 properties last year and chose only 21. They require 250,000 population within a 5 mile radius & an average household income of $50,000 - $70,000. The chains target population & income figures must be met, before they will even consider locating a store in an area. These are quotes of Howard Gordon, senior vice president of the Cheesecake Factory. A friend told me he overheard Mr. Brody discussing with someone about trying to get the Cheesecake Factory at Galleria 11 a couple of years ago, but that doesn't seem too likely now.

I don't understand the popularity over Cheesecake Factory. I've eaten there twice when I lived in Raleigh and was not impressed with the food quality. It was very expensive for what I received and I would be much better off going to a locally owned restaurant. The only thing nice I can say about the place is the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is simply beautiful.
It amazes me that there is always an hour wait on Friday nights. I can walk right in to the Peddler or other locally owned fancy restaurants and sit down immediately.
