Well you have vets near Jacksonville, Goldsboro, and other bases. But what Greenville has, that Charlotte/Wilmington doesn't have is an ample supply of student doctors, nurses, allied heath etc. Greenville has the largest hospital east of Raleigh, so one would think there could be better collaboration in Greenville. Like the VA Med Center in Durham and Duke.

There is a large VA in Salisbury. 45 minutes from Charlotte.

Let me put it this way. Someone pushed the right buttons and both the VA clinic and the bankruptcy court went to Greenville. They're Federal dollars and Greenville will take them any way they can get them.

Is it just me or Bonefish is extremely small on the exterior? Is it just carryout or something, it appears to be really small if you ask me.

There is another small strip office building going up on Firetower where all of the doctors offices are. It's just past the Carmike 12 theater. The next time I'm right there I'll get an exact location. It appears as though that part of Firetower is about built out now.

BMOREBOY--[Bonefish Grill[/b] seems to be the same size of the one in So. NJ, Egg Harbor Twp. Looking at the BF location site, it says that it is a full service bar/restaurant, opening the 29th of this Month. Looking forward to a good seafood restaurant in town where you can get broiled and baked fish.

Businesses request traffic changes | The East Carolinian

Greenville will temporarily try using speed cushions downtown to slow down traffic. There's one bit in the story about the bars emptying out at 2 AM and drivers not being careful enough in dealing with the crowd. I'm of the mind that the people leaving the bars should use the crosswalks and follow usual traffic rules themselves instead of lingering in the streets.

so then, genius, why not Raleigh? Between the two it's more visible and populous.

Hmmm...I wonder if we could get a Wet Willie's here? Or even another bowling alley, like 300 or something...I think that would be great....better if Wet could be downtown...I believe that if they tear down club Phoenix(sp?) then that would eliminate the majority of the rachetness that oozes downtown to greenville every other weekend...bring more establishments that require dress codes at nightclubs...I see Greenville has the potential, and although every idea may not be used, this just can't be another city version of Jacksonville, NC...full of shops, car dealerships and restaurants but no boom in business. Kudos to them building the VA clinic though, that's a good look for the city.
