I heard the owner(s) might be filing bankruptcy...the city may end up incurring the cost to demolish the building.

Not much going on other than ECU's plethora of projects. I think a lot of projects are on hold due to financing issues...it's hard to get commercial loans these days.

They're still building houses all over the place. My wife and I were passing out flyers for my lawn service and we got a good look at most of the area around Eastern Pines. Not a lot of houses going up but they're still going up never the less. With Greenville continuing to grow by about 9 people a day that's a need for about 1,000 houses or apartments a year.

I think we'll see a lot of commercial growth at the intersection of Firetower Rd. and Memorial. Looks like someone is building something beside the CVS (not talking about Zaxby's).

I think the intersection of Firetower and Memorial is going to explode soon! With all the residential going up areound there and PCC across the street, that area is prime and with the expansion of FT Road it's all the easier to get there.

I believe there is going to be another retaill/construction boom along the southwest highway or whatever it's called that's going to built to relieve traffic on memorial drive. & there's nothing be built beside zaxby's and cvs that I know of. I know a major development was planned behind it but I think it's cancelled now.

Is anyone familiar with the airport construction? I flew out of PGV this week and saw some of the drawings. But I'm wondering how the section will be used. It's not like the current facility is stretched to capacity or anything. lol

I think a lot of the work at the airport is to get the main portion of the facility at a higher elevation to get it out of the floodplain. Also it is a renovation and improvement. From what I understand, the airport was in need of one.

Anyone know what is going on with the old Circuit City bldg? Saw they took the "Circuit City" sign down and were doing some painting. Could be that they are just making the building look better for potential tenants.
