Interesting.

It would be nice if another micro-brewery would go in there - the Hams was well-supported and the building is cool...some updating would be nice but overall the layout is good. I liked the outdoor seating area with the bar behind the garage doors.

I'd be all for a Mellow Mushroom taking it over, too.

All of the properties at the site of the proposed new Walmart Shopping Center have been surveyed. Maybe we'll soon see some work going on. But, it will take a good while to remove all of the houses, before construction can begin.

Children's Hospital will break ground sometime in the winter.

There will be a third Moye Medical Center on Moye Blvd, near 5th. It will be dedicated to pediatric outpatient. This is a little while in the future though.

Has anyone heard of a new park in the planning stages on Highway 33? It will be called Eastside Park. Currently $58,000 going towards the development. Always good to have more parks. Depending where exactly this is located, I could see this being connected to the South Tar River Greenway eventually.

I think it's going to be located on land near the City cemetery, across from the Sheetz. Don't know the specifics but it's just in the planning phase right now.

I guess that area is growing. You would think near the hospital, this would be needed. There is a lot of growth there. I know eventually they want to build a greenway by the hospital. But I guess a park is a park.
