I wish them all the luck in the world. I don't believe this area is ready for a place like that. It seems like people just come here for a little while and then move on to somewhere else. The backwards sociology of the area just makes people want to go somewhere else. It's more of a Bojangles and Cracker Barrel kind of place. Maybe in 50 years.

Carolina Ale House isn't that fancy...i'd say it has a decent shot if the location is right. I may be wrong but I would compare it to a nicer Applebee's.

Now really upscale places like LA Lounge have a much harder time. The area has a pretty transient population but I think that happens more in smaller college towns.

There is enough of college aged people to get it going. As long as the prices for food/beer are way high.

Caroina Ale House will do well in Greenville, if there's things that do well in G-Vegas it's food, beer, and sports!!

I had heard one of the locations that they are looking at for Carolina Ale House was Kirkland's in front of the mall, but they need to make sure they have room to build the outside patio.

Did Kirkland's close, or would they be moving?

I think Kirkland's is still open. When I heard that was a location they were looking at, I thought it was odd if the store was still open. I saw 5 guys burger and fries will be opening soon next to the pet store on Greenville Blvd.

Also heard from same source Dick's Sporting Goods deal should be finalized in 2 months. Locations they are looking at are the old Goody's, Circuit City, and the old Steve & Barry's.

Not surprised to hear about Dick's Sporting Goods. I would think the Circuit City store would be of adequate size, or the Steve and Barry's.

Now Carolina Ale House may be looking at the Boli's on the Blvd. location, across from Kirklands. Just a thought.
