The 2013 population estimate for Pitt County is 174,263. That puts us at the 14th largest county in the state, 3rd after New Hanover & Onslow in the east.

Beaufort County, at 47,464, isn't helping our CSA.

Craven and Wilson were the only two adjacent counties to grow.

NC population estimate

The scale of that Georgetowne project is starting to be realized...it's a game changer on the street level of downtown Greenville.

Would love to here more from ECU on their downtown project planning, because it could spark even more private investment downtown.

Some here don't believe me...but I know for a fact that some of the population from neighboring counties is figured into the Pitt Co population increase (as well as Craven). Folks are moving from rural to more urban to find jobs and feel comfortable in cities like Greenville and New Bern.

Pirate's Den location is relatively huge. Hopefully it does well.
