^ it would be nice to get an actual casual sit down restaurant in that area. There is really nothing outside of the Mexican place near Wal-Mart. A Chick Fil A would also do well out there I believe.

Guy over on Hoist the Colours said that him and his wife are opening a Duck Donuts sometime before September and are looking at 3 different locations in town right now. I am very excited......Duck Donuts are amazing.

Air U trampoline park is waiting on one more permit before they can break ground on the new facility off of Corey Rd. They're currently planning on a Sept or Oct opening.

I completely agree. Chick Fil A would be a great fit in that spot. Another place that would be great is a place called 'PDQ'. It's cut from a similar mold of Chick Fil A. A sit down restaurant like TGI Fridays or LoneStar Steakhouse would be good in that area too.
We clearly do not have enough hotels out by the hospital I guess they are more in demand that I thought.
ECU has started the process of tearing down the old Mexican restaurant, Wendy's and that student baptist center building or whatever it was...in preparation for the new student center. 10th street will look better already just by tearing down those buildings alone. If they can only get rid of Kinkos sooner rather than later. That building is an eyesore.
Also - a little aerial of the new dorms that are nearing completion on 14th street...

My wife picked up some breakfast sandwiches and donuts once from the Duck Donuts in Kitty Hawk and I was not impressed. We couldn't even finish them they tasted so bad.
I would also love a restaurant near the 10th/Portertown Walmart but another poor quality chain or fast food place is not what I had in mind. Greenville has MORE than enough choices for terrible food. It'd be nice if we could get some more small local businesses to open that had better quality and unique food choices. There's barely any downtown and I fear the expensive cost of commercial property and available leases isn't going to help that. Although I wonder if it's more as a result of poor management and local support i.e., everyone seems to prefer cheap fast food instead.
Does anyone know if Marabella's is doing something with the old diner in Winterville on Firetower? I saw their wrapped Marabella car and a US Foods truck there the other week. They have a small yard sign by the front door too.
