why couldn't they have updated the other side. Is that owned by different people? Should be interesting to see if they can get any decent businesses to locate there.

Ahh... the old Murder Mart site....... so glad they re-did that. Now they just need to repave the road. Too bad Dr. Unks isn't open anymore.

Really good to have this sort of development deep into the neighborhood area.

Seems like one of the spaces would be perfect for the new 7-Eleven neighborhood markets. I know when I lived in the area, we loved having a grocery / beer place to go nearby.

It's in a tough spot. Don't see much retail or restaurants moving there since it's tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but any bar or late night lounge would get pushback from the local community. This area screams "brewery" to me. Something that closes at like midnight instead of 2AM and catered to a 21+ crowd may be better fit to anchor the area. Brewery + Pizza place + convenience store would be a good combination.

Whatever opens like that will have to pull the loyal patrons away from Christie's. I just don't see that happening.

Yea, it would be tough, but Dr. Unks was able to live comfortably near Christi's and was a popular spot in Greenville. The Brewery could go in one space (Dr. Unks), Pizza place in another one of the renovated spaces, and a new Convenience store on the end near Christi's. I didn't mean all 3 types of businesses would be located in a single space. That 7/11 market sounds like a very good place to go there.

A take out Pizza place, a convenience store, maybe an apartment leasing office...insurance agent.

Kind of strange to not have ANY of the spaces leased while doing the construction.

Anyone know what businesses will be going in in the commercial area's of The Boundary downtown?

I found the commercial listing for the renovated spaces on Jarvis Street. Had quite a few pictures.

211 S Jarvis, Greenville, NC, 27858 - Neighborhood Center Property for Lease on LoopNet.com

Before Picture:

They have done a wonderful job. Now we just need the Stop Shop to move there and sup dogs to pick a different location so that corner on 5th street can hold a 2-3 story mixed use building with a rooftop bar/lounge (one can dream, right! )
