I hope not. I assume we only have one jet bridge, but I don't think we are busy enough to need a second one (assuming we could pull in another air carrier).

I obviously know nothing about runway design, but it looks like runway 2/20 could add on a few hundred feet onto the south end. That area runs into Memorial Drive and wetlands though. So I am not sure of the official rules when it comes to that.

Hopefully the environmental study, which is due in the summer, will come out for the positive.

Information about the old theater on 5th St. A group is raising money in hope that it will open in 2014, 100 years after the original opening in 1914. Estimated cost are $1.8 million to repair and renovate the structure and an additional $500,000 to $750,000 for lighting, sound and other amenities. Magnolia Arts Center estimates it will take 18 months to raise funds and an equal amount of time for construction and interior improvements. MAC hope to complete a new mural in time for April's PirateFest and attract public interest in the theater.

Traditional parking meters are going away. "High tech" parking meters are being put in during this month. They will take coins, credit or debit cards.

Hey guys!

I haven't been on in a while so I'm not sure if this has already been posted but on Charles Blvd. there is going to be a new frozen yogurt place called Peppermints, next to A Snap Photo.

I'm excited, since I LOVE Fro Yo but Local Yogurt is pretty out of the way for me.

When Peppermint's was announced in the Daily Reflector, it said they plan to open two more locations, but it might depend upon how well this first location does.

@MrBojangles:

The PGV renovations/expansion included two brand new jetways, meaning two gates at the airport. Formerly there was only one "gate" and travelers had to venture out onto the tarmac to board the plane.

Gottca. Yeh, I remember watching people get on/off the airport and walking on the tarmac. I am GLAD we have the jet bridge now.
