I don't understand what Connelly is trying to say here. Anyone want to elaborate?

Continued momentum, I like it, but I wonder what the plans are for more office space and job development in the area? There was a study not too long ago that recommended a shell building or identifying an office park area in Uptown. What at the city's plans in this regard?
I see why people give him grief when he makes these arguments. It does seem like a conflict of interest sometimes, but he has valid points. We need a reason for people to stay, there needs to be things to do other than eat and drink.
If you scroll to the bottom of that document, there are pics of the alley beside StillLife. It looks like they plan on giving that place a pretty nice face lift this summer.
