I havent personally been but ive heard a lot about it. A family member of mine went today and said the food was pretty good, but service was a little off. Im sure it will get better with time. Pretty good prices on the food too.

I actually went the other day. I feel like the employees are still trying to learn how everything works. The table next to me got the wrong food first and they were already waiting a long time for their own food. I saw manager's going to a lot of tables and apologizing. My food came quick and was delicious for the price. Most everything is under $10. It's almost like a Chili's.

Here is an update for the Airport:

The Environmental Assessment is complete.
Land purchases/tree cutting will begin in 2012.
Construction and more land purchases will continue in 2013.

The airport wants to bulk up the 2-20 runway (the longest one). It will cost around $1,000,000. Also a Jetway Loading Bridge will be bought. The former Army Reserve building is going to get torn down.

What is the end goal of this expansion?

Samething I was wondering.
if this expansion isn't bringing anymore jobs, airlines, or customers then what is the point?

There is always the question, which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Perhaps the airport authority is looking into the future. Buy the property now, while it's still cheap, instead of trying to expand the airport later after property has gone up (if it ever does).

I am assuming, but the immediate goal would be to bring the airport UP to standards. With a secondary goal being attracting more air carriers. Like previous stated, we need the facilities to attract companies. If prices become comparable and other cities open up, PGV could be a nice airport. There is certainly the demand.

My husband and I went to Cheddar's for Father's Day dinner. We passed by on our way to do errands at 1:30 and there was a very long line outside. We arrived there for dinner at 4:10 and were told that the wait was 20 mins., we decided to go to the bar and eat there since the restaurant was packed. I had the full rack of ribs and 2 sides $13.99, my husband had Cajun Catfish, 3 pieces with 2 sides $8.69. Everything was delicious, and service at the bar was very quick & the servers were very knowledgeable. I ordered the chocolate Sundae cake and had to send it back b/c the top is sprinkled with peanuts and I am allergic to peanuts (that would not have been good). I had asked what kind of oil they used for the fries, never thinking about the cake. By 5:30 there was 1 1/2 hr. wait and they had run out of Rib Eyes and Ribs.
All in all we had a very good experience and will go back. Give it time and all the kinks will be ironed out. kelsie
