@GarnetAndBlack - tell your city council rep. Several are worried about being anti-business.

Encourage this team to stay in Greenville, could be critical to us developing a startup base here. Big congratulations to the team of Project Owl:

^ Can't wait to hear the people bi%&* about development on the Town Commons. I for one am all for it, but the vocal crowd will raise their voice how they don't want it touched...even though they don't actually go down there. :eye roll:

I'm generally opposed to development on the TC but I don't really have a problem with using the area where the tower was to build something compatible. As long as most of it remains green space.

That area of the park is sandwiched in by the amphitheater, playground, and parking lot anyway.

As long as we make use of the existing TC parking for the restaurant. I don't want to give up green space to another surface lot/impervious surface that's 50% full at best.

This, while we watch the Tar flood from upstream development.

I’m all for the upcoming RFP at Town Common, but if none of the proposals are good for the citizens of Greenville, then it should be rejected.

Update on the State Theatre...this thing has really taken a long time, but it appears to be coming along now...The old exposed brick is going to look really, really nice when it's all done. Is the city still imposing fines at this point, it's well over the supposed completion date.
