I'm a fan of Mellow Mushroom...very excited that one is coming to Greenville. It's been a while since i've been to one, but the crust was pretty awesome and i've heard that they have great calzones.
Ah I'm a huge fan of crust, glad to hear they have good crust. I already know when they open there going to be busy, so I'll try it a month or two from the opening. Thanks

I read the comments too. All that commented are a bunch of whiners. I'd actually like to see the county EXPAND it's services. A couple of parks would be nice. Maybe buy a snowplow or two. Some street lights in the developed parts of the county. These are some of the perks that would be nice. The schools could really use some extra money too.
Dickinson Ave is closed in the first of two phases to update the storm water drainage. The first phase is between Watauga Avenue and Skinner Street and will last 3-4 weeks. The 2nd phase will start in May and is between Skinner Street and Hooker Road.
So hopefully the train underpass won't flood as much anymore.
Now just a few more areas that need their storm water drainage upgraded.
Outgoing Greenville police chief calls downtown area "out of control."
I had no idea it was that bad in downtown after dark. It's no wonder the police chief is leaving. 16 bars? Perhaps they need to look at some other college towns to see how they handle their bars...
The college element is not what makes downtown unsafe at night. It's a separate group of people that come in from all around and start troubles. Check out the address on record for the guy who fired the gun (the one referenced in Chief Anderson's letter).
IMO, Anderson is trying to leave on a high note and make it look as if he's done anything useful to combat this. He hasn't. He won't let the officers clamp down on the undesirable element of downtown.
Has anyone heard of dicksporting goods coming to town?
