The State of North Carolina stole our mayor. I honestly feel that the great progress that Greenville has made over these last 6 years can be wholly, and completely, attributed to the efforts of Mayor Allen Thomas. Who knows what happens now...
Richard, I completely concur. This man has done amazing things in Greenville - more in his 6 years than any mayor since I moved here in 1986. My concern is finding someone willing to be progressive and really push advancement of development in Greenville. The Mayor Pro Tem Candace Smith I fear would take us back to gridlock. Voters are going to have to be really smart with their next pick.
Sorry if this has been mentioned but what are they building at the corner of Memorial and Stantonsburg Rd? Looks like a fast food place but no signs that I can see.
Also - anyone ever hear what they are clearing the land across from Patheon for?

Greenville GIS says the owner of that property is Tokyo Express.
Apparently the gas station at Arlington and Fire Tower will become a Harris Teeter Fuel Station
I never knew these existed...I had to google it. Interesting that it will not actually be next to Harris Teeter...guess it's kinda close. At least it will clean that corner up, the last gas station there wasn't the nicest looking place.
Anyone know what they are building behind the Sheetz and Good Will off of Memorial near PCC? looks like a place where buses would come through
