Default Mt. Vernon Inn?

Hey. Me and some friends are going down to North Carolina for Spring Break to visit some friends. Though, only a few of us can stay at our friend's place, the rest (2 of us) have to find another place to stay. Our friends place is in Wilmington, but we are just looking for anything relatively cheap around the area.

We came across Mt. Vernon Inn located in Carolina Beach, 1 block from the beach. Does anyone know anything about this Inn? Hows the quality of it? For $175 a week for 2 people it sounds kinda iffy, but like I said, we are kind of strapped on cash. Is the area bad?

Any information about the area/inn would be much appreciated.

It looks a little "blah" for lack of a better term. Google earth it and do the street view and will see what I am talking about, kinda trashy. In fact, I drove by it earlier today and trailer park looking people were all over the steps. It's a place to stay, but that's about it...
