I there no one on this forum that can give me information
about towns between Whiteville and Wilmington that are in the right county for good schools. I think no one is any of these areas owns a computer or they just don't post on this forum. Also, if anyone is familiar with this area at all. Are there any towns out of Columbus county north or south that are within an hour to live that have the same qualifications. And if the schools in Columbus county and there are towns there, also. I have pulled up the school websites and can't get any answers there. I am looking for someone in the area with any knowledge at all. Thank you

schools - columbus county /whiteville
saw your post - actually, there are people there with computers
actually, i'm not there but heading there. husband has already made the move - we don't have school age children so haven't paid a lot of attention to that facet of things, but would be glad to tap some brain trusts in the area for information - we will be living in whiteville itself/husband just took a position with columbus county guv - so if you're still looking, i'll see if i can find you some honest assessments of schools in and about and out..............

Columbus County Schools
I did a search for Columbus County, NC schools and several other counties came up on the right side. I was really really looking for the NC schools report card that included the entire state. I will get back to you when I find it again. I know it exists.
http://www.ncreportcards.org/src/
http://www.schooldigger.com/go/NC/sc...pagetype=top10
You find the name of the school and some information on the school report card and then do a search for that school on the schooldigger.com and see how it is ranked by number of all schools in the state. I personally would not use this method to pick out a school, I would go and visit the neighborhood.

Thank you for the replies. I was being facetious when I said they must not have computers. Right now, mine is giving me fits. This is the fourth time I have tried to reply and lost the post.
Any information that you could find for me would be greatly appreciated.

giggle - i knew you weren't "diss-in" the columbusians/columbians/whivillians.
i will see what i can find from those who have experienced the schools, either as students or parents thereof - back likely in 48 hours or so - no work tomorrow so i'll have a hard time rising the guv'mint man -- he's likely slacking at the beach
