Been in town a short time and my wife and I are having a hard time sifting through the long list of churches in town. Have visited several but still looking. We are looking for a non-charismatic bible/non-demoninational type church that would be good to plug into as a young married couple. Any suggestions?

My fiancé and I are considering moving to Fayetteville in August due to a job offer he got at a church there that fits that description. I apologize for recommending it without having been there myself, but you two sound similar to what we are looking for (and having a hard time finding).

This is a link to their statement of belief taken from the church's official web site:
Articles of Faith

Again, I haven't been there but my fiancé has. It seems like a large, growing church. I am weary of large churches because I have soon few, if any, that are healthy, or that the congregation actually benefits rather than suffers from the church being larger. (Pardon my tangent)

Did you find a church!? I am searching for the same thing. I checked out the church mentioned, Manna, but it is much too charismatic for me.

Please let me know!
Thanks

What exactly does that mean? I've spent my life in a Southen Baptist church, so I have no idea.

Charismatic refers to gifts of the spirit...thing like speaking in tongues. These types of churches are mainly Pentecostal and non-denominational churches. I've grew up in a large Pentecostal church in Fayetteville (Northwood Temple) so it's nothing new to me. Some people find these types of churches uncomfortable...try dating and bringing a girlfriend to church and you'll know what I mean. I did a complete 180, and now I'm going to a very small Methodist Church. The biggest churches in Fayetteville are Pentecostal and Non-denominational churches like The Manna Church and Northwood Temple. The Manna Church probably has the largest concentration of young people of all the Fayetteville churches; there's a lot of military there. There's a couple of good churches on Hay St; you might want to try them out...Hay Street United Methodist Church and Highland Presbyterian Church.

Don't forget Snyder Baptist and Village Baptist. They have very contemporary programs as well.
