Looks like they will break ground on April 15th. This is very exciting times for everyone on the island as this will be a real boost to our local economy. In addition, construction on the Marriott Fairfield Inn should begin soon as well.

Does Hilton really plan to open by 2010 in Carolina Beach? There does not seem to be any construction going on. Is this the result of our sour economy and will that put a delay on the work being done (or not done) to the hotel? Just wondering. The Hilton would be quite the shot in the arm that CB needs.
