I'm 21 and moving to Wilmington from Ohio in Sept. or Oct. I was wondering what there is to do there for people around my age, besides the bar scene. I've been doing some of my own searching but was wanting to hear from people that live there.

I'm also considering going to the film program at the University of NC Wilmington, so if anyone goes there I'd definitely be interested in hearing about that also.

Any input about Wilmington is welcomed. Thanks

You basically sum up what I'm looking for. Only I probably won't go till next year.

there's the usual stuff, outdoors activities, hiking, kayaking, biking, running, swimming, surfing, frisbee, golf, volleyball, tennis, etc...

there's lots of little art openings throughout the city

lots of volunteer opportunities

try to get involved on campus with uncw... lots more to get into that way than out in the town itself

have a safe move!
