Red face Currituck County ???s

Hi y'all,

I moved to Asheville 2 years ago and thought I was here to stay..On Thursday, July 9, I have an interview for Currituck County schools.

I live in an apartment in Asheville. I cannot find apartments on-line anywhere near Currituck county. Can anyone suggest apartment complexes or houses to rent?

What are the major challenges people face in this area?
I am sure it is going to look lots different in Nov. and Feb. than what I am going to see next week.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated..

Currituck County is a wonderful place, but it is about as far from Asheville as you can get.

I could not find any apts for rent on a 5 minute search. You are probably better off to rent a small house.

However, it is imperative that you find out where you are teaching before finding a place to live. If there are schools on Knotts Island and you are assigned there, and you live down near Coinjock, well, that would not be too smart.

Good Luck.

Thanks so much for your quick response - I am interviewing to teach at Currituck County High School. I think it is on Caratoke Hwy?? I have 2 small dogs and would much prefer renting a small house. Are there any sites or realtors you can recommend? I am pretty anxious about the whole thing.

I do not know anything about the housing scene, just the geography, I used to fish up that way a lot.
