If you look at popularity based on what people are willing to spend to go, the beaches clearly rank (first to last): Sunset, Ocean Isle, Holden, Caswell, Oak Island.

I felt the beaches got better the farther you got from the Cape Fear River. I know the water gets clearer that way.

I prefer Oak Island beaches over Caswell beaches, any day!

for a low key family beach that remains affordable, even in today's economy, you can't beat Oak Island.

We are partial to Ocean Isle Beach, the best kept secret on the Carolina coast.
Contact Carole Huet - 614-209-1486 to discuss September rentals.

Even in this weak economy, we are fully booked up to the week before Labor Day.
The beautiful beach and beach club is the number one attraction. This is followed closely by our private tennis courts, great restaurants, and proximity to Myrtle Beach attractions.

I live near Holden Beach and altho I love it, I have to say I've been more impressed with Ocean Isle. Gorgeous!! Beautifully landscaped, well maintained and there seems to be a "little" bit more to do!
