Has anyone been to the Macaroni Grill in Wilmington? I work for them in Maine and would be able to transfer down there if need be just so I could have a job when I got there..

Just wondering if it's popular or not.

I live nearby, but I've never been.

I don't know if the restaurant itself is popular; it is fairly competitive here. Its in a good location, close to the beach, probably sees a good bit of tourist traffic.

I went there a month and a half ago. my parents commented on how empty it was. my food was really good tough, so maybe it just needs a little time.

i LOOOVE macaroni grill. Never been to the one in Wilmington, but I do know they have shut a lot of them down over the past couple years with not much warning. So, I would make sure to talk with a manager, or somebody, about the current state and future of the one in Wilmington.. you know, that it's alive & hopping, so you will have a solid job that won't disappear! Good luck!

My family was there in June, when I was visiting my brother and his family. It was Father's Day, so the place was crowded. We weren't sure if we would get a table, but after a short wait, we were seated.

I will say this, while the food was wonderful (as usual!), the service wasn't top notch (they forgot the appetizers, as well as my niece's meal!!). The manager was nice and gave my niece her meal for free as well as her dessert. So overall it was a good experience.

I think you'll be fine with your job during the summer/tourist season. I don't know how slow it gets in the fall and winter, so I don't know how you'll fair then. Good luck!

Thanks everyone!

A bunch of Mac Grills have been shut down all over the country, but we got taken over by a different company so I don't think they will be shutting anymore down anytime soon. They got rid of the "problem stores"
I've been there for 3 years and don't really want to transfer but hey it's a job to have when I get there at least!!

Thanks all

We've ate there once. It was okay, but not good enough to go back again. Since Olive Garden came here,Macaroni Grill or any other italian restaurant doesn't stand much of a chance.
