Visiting Wilmington-HELP! (Wrightsville Beach: credit card, hotel, buy)

I'm headed to Wilmington on Thursday for a few days, and I wanted to know what you all thought I must do while I'm there. I'm going alone, so I don't have any time restrictions, and staying @ a hotel on Eastwood Road, and driving a car there.
I've researched some tours, and I'd like to go to the outer banks one day.
Can you all please give me some suggestions!

Go to Ft. Fisher and visit the fort and the aquarium. In Wilmington, there's the Battleship. There's a nice museum downtown--the Cape Fear Museum. The Outer Banks will be an all day trip for you.....

Try Burrrrrrrrrgaw...You can take the tour of The Jerry Springer Studio....It just been open for about a month now...It is state of the art....Burrrrrrrrgaw is about 20 miles from Wilmington

go to the beach! although it's supposed to rain all week. Wrightsville Beach, Public Beach Access point 8 is pretty good for swimming, and it's got a lot where you buy the parking from the machine, which is a lot easier (and you can use credit cards!)
