I like Wimington because it is 20 minutes from BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGAW....I go to BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGaw several times a week to see a taping of the Jerry Springer show...I just love how the studio was built..They started to build it in Jan.09...It was finished in June of 09...It is a state of the art building.....Oh..The audience ask Mr. Springer how is he paying for the studio..He states that vthe money he saves on airline ticket from his guest of the BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGAW area will more than pay for it.....

Dude, what kinda trip are you on?

I may not live in Wilmington, though there's a small chance down the road, but I'd say things like the weather, beautiful beaches, easy drive to Myrtle Beach, the UNCW Seahawks would top the list. Hopefully some locals will shed more light. And hopefully someone not in BURRRRRRRGAW.

What is this with the Jerry Springer business. I didn't know that show was filmed there. I can't really see what anyone sees in him or his trash show.

I don't know why this guy keeps making a big deal out of Jerry Springer either - kind of goofy IMHO... from what I can tell, if you want tickets to a Springer show, you have to go to Stamford, Conn....long way from Burgaw, NC!

Back to the oriiginal subject about what to like about Wilmington(and I assume, surrounding areas?:
Good weather, beautiful beaches
Lots of water for boating and fishing
Nice creeks and marshes for kayaking and canoeing
Beautiful birds if you are interesting in birding
Soil that is easy to dig if you are into gardening
Flat land for the most part, which if you like to cycle, walk, run and are getting a little older, is a plus!
Plenty of good restaurants, shopping and things to do and see....
