Not really, they all happen.

Just read the local paper. Not saying they all happen every day, or even week, but given a reasonable amount of time, yes they do.

In fact, in yesterday's paper, there was a kidnapping, a drug bust, and a break in. All in one day. So that is 1/2 my list.

All we need now is a shooting, a murder, and stabbing in the next month and you can serve up some crow and have yourself a nice lunch. We might even get a twofer out of that list.

Bon appétit!

You must get a different SJ than I do and since I have yesterays paper in front of me I looked thru it. Not one Kidnapping, not one drug bust and not one breakin. Time to eat some crow yourself LLN.

Be careful if you look at papers online...the Reflector will keep crime headlines up for days, making it look like that crime happens daily.

Thats the online paper not the newspaper. if you noticed, they were posted after 4pm. Your exact words were "in yesterday's paper, there was a kidnapping, a drug bust, and a break in." They were not in yesterdays paper.
Lets break them down: drug arrest occured in the slum part of town as expected, kidnapping- they knew each other probably drug related. And the breakin, big deal all of these can and do happen anywhere and in any town.

I am a digital kind of guy, read the digital paper, it is, by the way, the 21st century. I cannot believe anyone would pay from the New Bern paper. Wow.

Anyway, to most of us in the 21st century, stories that are posted yesterday occurred, now for the drum roll......Y E S T E R D A Y. Isn't it cool how that works out.

Hope you like crow, cause I can see it cooking in your oven, or more likely, firepit, now.

And, thanks for making my point. The fellow asked where not to look in NB. I suggested he plot crime for several weeks to see. Many, many crimes do occur in bad areas, and by plotting those, he will see, as you will. I never stated that crime occurred everywhere...now if I did think that, why would you plot, it would mean nothing. Wow. That is pretty cool, too. Anyway, hope you enjoy T O M O R R O W's paper, don't forget to recycle.

Lots of transplants here, many at retirement age. People are generally friendly.
