I am looking to relocate to the eastern part of nc. I currently reside in a small town near charlotte. The problem is i have a 11 year old who is very timid and i need a city that has good schools. I thought about fayetteville but heard it has a high crime rate. Any other suggestions besides Raleigh and Durham.

Cape Carteret, Swansboro, Newport, Morehead City, Hubert, Sneads Ferry, Hampstead, Holly Ridge, Havelock, all in Eastern NC, and a good choice to visit and compare...

Do you have a job? Seems that looking for work would be the first step.

Greenville is the main "city" in Eastern NC other than Wilmington.
