I would have to go w/ Hubert. Mainly because its close to Swansboro, which is one of the many eastern NC places that I haved lived in. Richlands is more of a small town, country kind of place.

The commute to Lejeune from Richlands would be a killer, IMO.

I agree go to Hubert, great small town, good schools close to the beach and the crystal coast!

The first question I have is the pronunciation of Richlands.

Is it RICH LANDS or Richlands?

hays - Richland vs Hubert for the commute to Camp Lejeune would be hands down Hubert. Schools I agree with Steve I would give the edge to Hubert. General lifestyle - proximity to beachs, rivers, ICW, parks, walking trails, kayaking, boating, jet ski areas, fishing, etc. would definitely be Hubert over Richlands. There is plenty of inventory on the market for sale in a variety of price ranges and amenities. I'd love to help you find something suitable.

Hi everybody!

It has been a long time since I was on city data. We about 4 months out and I have some questions. Anybody heard of H & S custom homes? We are looking at the subdivision, "Woods Edge." They have some great looking homes...anybody familiar with that area? What about the "Highlands at Queens Creek?" Anybody have some nice areas in Hubert or in Jacksonville that they would be willing to share with me? My husband is flying out this month to look around. We want to be close to the back gate of Camp Lejeune whether it be in Hubert or Jacksonville. We know the schools are excellent in that area as well as the plus of being close to the back gate and only paying county taxes. Thank you all for your posts from earlier. Hope everyone had a Christmas and I wish you all a Happy New Year!
