Default furniture store in wilmington nc

Hi everybody! I found a place...thanks to all who replied and now I need furniture. Can someone tell me where I find affordable furniture? I need something that will last me for awhile but I don't want anything that is too expensive like bedroom set for more than 1,000. Please help. I've been rooms to go, roomstore and ashley. Are there any other local furniture places that I can go to?

I have shopped Wilmington Furniture places before, TOO expensive! I f you'll make a short drive to Hampstead Furniture in Hampstead, they cater to everyone. You can buy anything from a cheap Bar stool to a Leather chair. VERY reasonably priced, and I shopped svereal other cities in the area. This one has them all beat~~Good Luck

Sorry, can't be of any help w/furniture - but, I'm sure that I'll be needing this info once I make the move...You just recently moved there??? Good! Then, PLEASE help me! We will be moving to the area within 2 weeks and I've yet to find a definite place for us to stay!!! Yikes!! Long story short: I left my 17-year career here in WV, to move to Wilmington, so I currently have no job (I do have money to get us by for a while) anyway, without a job, NO ONE wants to rent to us, EVEN with up-front rental payments!?!? Anyway, we were actually hoping to stay more towards the Carolina Beach area - we needed a break from fast-paced, city life!! However, at present, there's only one house there that we've found & we're waiting on approval to come back. If not there, then I'll be having to take some place in the city - I've only briefly been through Wilmington, and have heard about the areas of "high-crime/don't go out at night", etc. I NEED to AVOID the areas that are considered dangerous, as I have small children to protect - This is where I need help!! There's a home near Grace Street & Mc Rae Street that we can afford - from Google Street-View, it "appears" to be in a decent neighborhood - what do you think about that area??? Also, there are a few places on North 5th Street, I think the addresses were like 712, or 721 N. 5th Street?? Isn't 5th Street in the "rougher" part of town??? PLEASE PLEASE ADVISE!!! Anyone!? Everyone!?!? * Single Mom w/ small babies *

I moved here from Baltimore. It seems as if the job opportunities here are scarce. I suggest finding a job first before moving. I am moving to a condo past Monkey Junction area..it's actually closer to Carolina Beach. I think for somebody who has kids...you definitely need to stay away from the city. I suggest Castle Hayne area which is the northern part of Wilmington..it's more family oriented and a little bit affordable than city of wilmington..it is still in the same county. If I were you, I'd stay away from the city...or stick with Carolina Beach area.

Whatever you do, please do NOT shop Rooms to Go.
I just purchased a bedroom set, they tried to deliver damaged furniture, when I tried to re-schedule I was told I needed to wait 48 hrs before I could even try to re-schedule. I asked for my $$ back, I was told "No, you need to wait 48 hrs for us to even put the request in, then wait another 7 days for central office to send you a check"

Save yourself some trouble, do NOT buy at Rooms to Go, their service customer team is a joke!!
