Default Morehead City Hospital

I have read a few times that Morehead City hospital is not very good. What is the problem with that hospital? I am moving to the area next June.
Thanks!

I think that view is changing, though it's still not as good as the one in New Bern. I don't think it's like it was when I was growing up, when I knew people who would drive from as far away as Beaufort to go to Craven regional, vice going to the hospital in MHC. I honestly can't tell you any specifics, but I do know that it was a popular sentiment in the past, and the feelings might still linger.

Edit: my wife told me about my father-in-law, who lives in MHC, had an operation on his back on some cyst or tumor or something. Well he continued to have back problems. He went back to the hospital and it turns out they left something in there. she's not sure if it was part of the cyst or whatever or medical equipment. this was approx. 3-6 yrs ago.

HHHmmmm............How to respond.
I live in Morehead and have had to go the hospital in Morehead a few times over the past few years.
No complaints. Each time I returned home with all of the parts I was supposed to and without any extras.
With that said-Carolina East Medical is located in New Bern. Greenville-Well that's the home of East Carolina University and their fine medical school, Brody School of Medicine.

Private practice office and clinics abound in all areas of Eastern North Carolina-Morehead, New Bern, Greenville, etc.,

So how to answer? Dinks, Boo-Boo's and bumps-Morehead -No problem.
Treatment Assessment-No problem
But eastern North Carolina has so many wonderful medical institutions and facilities that I would think that once a medical problem had been identified-Then seeking out the nearby specialist would be the thing to do.

By the way-helicopters routinely pick up patience from Morehead and take them to Greenville and other facilities.

I believe the MHC hospital is wonderful...Always had good service, and I have a family of six...If you need heart, cancer, or major treatment or surgeries, we have CRMC and Pitt County Hospital for those things, and New Berns hospital has a first rate heart center, and cancer center now, I do believe...So comehere in confidence, and let the experts take care of you, if you dislike their service, you can always go to UNC or Duke for second opinions...
