I am relocating from Greenville to Wilmington in the next few months. Know the area but dont know the neighborhoods at all to choose where to live. Not willing to buy anything yet, but a safe rental in a good neighborhood, yes, like everyone else. However I need a very small space as I will likely be traveling back and forth to my house here. suggestions for beach condos, townhouses? housesitting? want to spend no more than 800. less would be alot better. would love to either be near beach or at least near cafes and culture etc downtown. HELP! please.

If you can deal with a short term lease while you look around you can find some great deals in Carolina and Kure Beaches thru the end of April or so. I've seen beachfront 1BR condos in Atlantic Towers on Craigslist as low as $500/mo, utilities, nternet, cable included.

Default I have this house to offer near Wilmington

Brick rambler located on Oak Island, 25 miles outside of Wilmington, easy drive. Sits in the middle of three wooded lots, 2 bedrooms, office, large living & dining area with breakfast bar, enclosed Florida room, cathedral ceilings with wood beams, brick full wall fireplace, 2 baths and private driveway. New burber carpet throughout house, central air, wi-fi. House built in 1976 and never been damaged by any bad weather. Nice neighbors and huge yard. House is in perfect condition and I can't move down so am willing to rent or sell. One level house so no major stairs, laundry off office area, also has carport. Quiet neighborhood, 4 blocks from ocean and 4 blocks from Cape Fear River. I'd live here instead of in Wilmington but I don't know much about schools. I can put you in touch with someone who does if you are interested.
